The Temporal Lobes are positioned on each side of the head, above the ears.

These Lobes are related to hearing ability in general and high level auditory processing. This includes comprehension, verbal memory and language functions. The hippocabus, located in each lobe, plays a part in navigation. The most interesting feature is that these lobes are also responsible for the recall of non-verbal material such as drawings and music.
